Highlights
Project Aim
Examine retrieval dynamics among three levels of narrative memory to develop a theory of how the levels are related in memory.
Research Methods
Implemented a modified retrieval practice paradigm to test memory after retrieval.
Analyses: Mixed-Effects Modeling, Bayesian statistics, Descriptive statistics, ANOVA, ANCOVA, MANOVA
Observations and Insights
Proposed a "cognitive efficiency theory" to account for how people retrieve narrative information from memory.
My Role - Primary Investigator
This project was my dissertation. As such, I conducted all aspects of research for this project as primary investigator. My PhD advisor, Dr. Radvansky, provided minimal input throughout the stages of research and supported writing of the manuscript with feedback as he encouraged me to develop into an independent researcher.
